FINANCIAL DISTRICT — When the massive World Trade Center transportation hub finally opens in late 2015, there will be at least one spot to grab a cocktail.

Gourmet cafe Èpicerie Boulud, set to open a 2,400-square-foot space inside the giant, winged transportation and retail center, will serve beer, wine and hard alcohol, representatives said this week.

The location inside the Santiago Calatrava-designed oculus will be the third location for Èpicerie Boulud, but its first to serve liquor. The other spots, at Lincoln Center and the Plaza Hotel, serve only beer and wine.

The WTC location will also have about 20 seats, at the bar and a couple of small tables, according to a liquor license application submitted to Community Board 1.

The cafe, owned by famed chef Daniel Boulud, will offer a similar menu to his other locations, including gourmet sandwiches and pastries.

CB1 gave its support to the liquor license at a meeting Wednesday night.

A host of retail and food options — totaling 350,000 square feet — is reportedly on its way to the World Trade Center complex. Coffee seller La Colombe is also slated for the great hall at the hub, as well as numerous shops including Turnbull & Asser shirts and Bobbi Brown makeup, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The transportation hub will also connect an estimated 200,000 travelers to 10 subway lines and the PATH trains daily.
